upcoming shows/past shows

As previously mentioned, I have been busy helping out with organizing the "Shots for Tots Fundraiser". After long hours spent discussing and doing some networking with fellow bands and promoters, we are pretty much set to sail full steam ahead with it.

The show will take place at The Den located on the U of C campus on November 13th 2004. I am very proud to announce that we have a wealth of Calgary talent that night playing with us

All proceeds generated from the show will go to purchasing essential drug combo to help protect African children from malaria and also to raise awareness about malaria. The Den will be giving 25% of that nights shot special to the charity. So bring your friends and do some shots as your part for those poor African kiddies.

This is a very noble, honourable cause and I would sincerely like to thank every band on the bill for playing as well as the other bands we were unable to fit onto the bill for helping us out. Lets try to make it a huge success together.

I would also like to extend a huge thank you to Christopher MacEwen for providing the PA and sound that night as well as Shithead Dave, Shaun Dolt and the others at Boycott records for all of the generous help that they have provided.

A huge Borderguards thanks goes out to the staff at CJSW, The Gauntlet, Megatunes, The Den, The Den, and www.calgarypunk.com for helping us to get exposure for this show. I sincerely apologies to anyone else that I am forgetting at this time

The Borderguards WILL finally be playing their first Calgary all ages show since April of 2002:

• New drummer.
• A new drummer that shows up with his own gear.
• No hospitalized lead guitarists
• No lead guitarist on the oil rigs for 2 weeks at a time.
• No front men oblivious to the show that night and decide instead to go golfing with the wife.
• ......and most importantly, NO MORE RIOTS.

The Borderguards are scheduled for the 10:00-11:00 pm slot. Halloween is the only night of the year that Stogie gets to take his mask off so get off of your ass and get back out on the streets where you belong.
